2025 BIT Undergraduate Program for International Students

I. Qualification
1. High school graduate or above who is qualified to apply for university; non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passport and in good health; observe Chinese laws and regulations of Beijing Institute of Technology.
2. Aged between 18 and 25; Applicants under 18 should provide certificate of guardian who has Beijing residency.
3. Applicants must comply with the regulations (JW〔2020〕No. 12) issued by Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China. (Link)

III. Application Procedure
Step 1: Online application. The Applicant shall register at http://apply.isc.bit.edu.cn, upload required materials and pay application fee. The application deadline is June 15th, 2025.
Step 2: Pay application fee. After passing the preliminary examination, the applicant shall pay the application fee of CNY 600, which is non-refundable.
Step 3: Comprehensive Interview. The appplicant shall take the Comprehensive Interview. Detailed arrangements will be informed through email.
Step 4: Pre-Admission. The Applicant who have passed the Comprehensive Interview will be offered a pre-admission letter. The pre-admission result will be informed through online application system.
Step 5: Academic proficiency test (Online). The pre-admitted appliant shall take the Academic proficiency test (Online). The test will be conducted in student's applied langguage of instruction. Detailed arrangements will be informed in Placement Test Notice.
Step 6: Pay tuition fee (deposit). The applicant shall pay deposit within the given time.
Step 7: Admitted. After the deposit is paid, the applicant’ materials will be reviewed. Applicant with qualified and complete materials will be offered admission letter.

*2. The Certified/Notarized Copy of High School Transcripts (Chinese or English version)
*3. The Certified/Notarized Copy of High School Diploma (Chinese or English version)
*4. The Valid Report of Chinese or English Language Proficiency Tests. (For Chinese Medium: HSK5≥180, For English Medium: IELTS≥6.0 or TOEFL≥85 or other language certificate recognized by BIT. English native speakers are exempted.)
*5. Personal Statement/Study Plan (download the template from the Link, upload it in the application system after filling out)
6. BIT Freshmen Scholarship Application Form (For applicants who will apply for BIT Freshmen Scholarship, please download the form from the Link, and upload it in the attachment after filling out)
7. Applications under 18 must upload all materials required in Application Materials for Student under 18 (download from the Link)
8. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (please go to hospital for a physical examination as required in Physical Examination Record for Foreigner from the Link and upload it in the application system)
9. Financial Guarantee Letter (The certificate of bank saving)
10. Non-criminal Record (Issued by the local police station)
11. Other documents (Students in design major should provide no less than 2 art works)
V. Duration & Fees
Duration: 4 years
Application fee: CNY 600
Chinese taught program tuition: CNY 23,000/year; English taught program tuition: CNY 30,000/year
Insurance fee: CNY 800/year
Visa fee: CNY 400/year

VI. Scholarship
1. Chinese Government Scholarship (only for Chinese-taught program)
The scholarship application is directed to the local Chinese Embassy or Consulate. The application time is usually from November to April next year. Please ask for more application information from Chinese Embassy/Consulate in your home country.
When filling in the scholarship application form, the applicant should choose Type A and select Beijing Institute of Technology as the first priority institution.
2.Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship / BIT International Student Scholarship
Note:Free university dormitory and stipend will be suspended if a student cannot study on-campus.
Applicants with HSKK scores are preferred for the first prize programs taught in Chinese.
