2025 BIT Exchange Program for International Students
Overview
Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) has currently signed agreements on exchange program with more than 400 universities worldwide. We welcome students from the partner universities to study in the exchange programs in BIT.
Exchange students to BIT can study in the regular degree programs conducted in English or Chinese, they are also welcomed to study in our Chinese language program. The exchange program extends from one semester to two semesters in the academic program or Chinese language program.
*Chinese-taught programs available for admission can be referenced in the undergraduate and graduate admission brochures. All programs are open to exchange students.
*The transcripts will be issued 3 months after the end of the semester.
Eligibility
1. Must be a currently enrolled university student;
2. Complete at least 2 semesters at home university;
3. Non-Chinese citizen with foreign passport;
4. In good physical and mental health;
5. The Valid Report of Chinese or English Language Proficiency Tests. (For Chinese Medium: HSK5≥180, For English Medium: IELTS≥6.0 or TOEFL≥85 or other language certificate recognized by BIT. English native speakers are exempted.)
Application Documents（* is required）
*1. The Photocopy of the Passport (photo page, Chinese visa page if you have)；
*2. ID photo with white background;
*3. Transcripts at home university;
*4. Proof of language proficiency;
*5. One letter of recommendation;
*6. Personal Statement (download BIT International Student Personal Statement template, upload it in the application system after filling out);
*7. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (please go to hospital for a physical examination as required in Physical Examination Record for Foreigner and upload it in the application system)
*8. Self-Introduction Video File (Format requirements: MP4, size must not exceed 50MB; the video content should include name, nationality, current institution and grade, name of the major you are applying for, language of instruction, and duration of study, etc.).

2. Complete the online application form and upload all required documents;
3. Pay the application fee online after pass application review;
4. Online interview(random spot check);
5. Get admitted.
