One of the most common problems we found was that most people did not have
accurate information about the water levels in terms of the volume or speed of the water flow. They lacked the information that would enable them to accurately assess the situation. The information produced by the government was based on specific interests from different sources, which was scattered all over; there was no attempt to integrate all information and analyze it systematically into a complete and easy-to-understand
set of information, suitable to be disseminated to the public. Some information was given by individuals, which may not be accurate; there was no reliable source of information for each specific area. The water information is vital when making a decision between living with floods and evacuating, which also have major influence on other issues.
Functions and Use:
Combining all current technology into one system to increase efficiency, the
system includes: 1. Automatic water level indicator – easy to install in areas such as irrigation canals, rivers, run-off in fields and land routes. 2. Central processing system.
