Microwave and millimeter wave circuits and systems laboratory was founded in 90s by Professor Fei Yuanchun who was awarded the national title of expert with outstanding contributions .The laboratory has been affiliatedby the Radar Technology Research Institute and now it is one part ofthe Microwave Technology Research Institute in Beijing Institute of Technology .Over years ,the laboratory focused on the research in areas of microwave, radar and communication.

In recent years, the laboratory has made tremendousprogress under the leadership of academician Wang Xiaomo.The laboratory has now formed four directions of research :The Integration technology of radar and communications , Semi physical and digital simulation system, Monolithic microwave integrated circuit (based on Gas and GaN technology , based on the LTCC technology ) and Ultra wideband radarand communication . Many big break throughs have been made in the study of phased array radar, UWB radar, communication, electronic countermeasure, receiver and frequency source features. The laboratory has successfully completed more than 100 researchs of the eighth ，ninth，tenth and11th five-years plan, and the achievementshave been widely applied in the dozens of factorys and universities. An excellent research team formed during the long-term study on communication , microwave and radar technology . The team is consist of 4 teachers and 30~40 doctoral students and master students who are hilghly professional . Untill now ,the lab has developed 24 doctors and 60 masters , who are playing important roles in study of communication ,microwave and radar technology.
