The Institute is supervised by Prof. Lan Jiang, who is Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering, Changjiang Professor, Distinguished Young Scholar in China, and Chief Scientist of the 973 Program of the Ministry of science and technology. The research team is "Non silicon micro/nano Fabrication" innovation team of the Ministry of Education. Team members include 1 Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 Changjiang Professors, 1 National "Thousand People Plan" Specially-invited short term Expert, 2 National Distinguished Young Scholars, 1 first national science and technology innovation leader in the national "special branch program", 1 member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of education, 1 leading youth scientists in the science and technology innovation of Ministry of science and technology, 1 National Excellent youth fund winner of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 outstanding talents of the Ministry of education in the new century, and over 30 graduate students. Most of the graduated students are working in famous universities and institutes, 4 doctoral student won the Hiwin Doctoral Dissertation Award of the silver, the bronze and the merit award.
Our research mainly focuses on the ultrafast laser micro/nano fabrication based on electrons dynamics control, including the theory, method and application.
