    Project description

    The CIPnet project “China Intellectual Property Management Network” is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building project, within KA2 – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices – Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education.

    The CIPnet project is implemented in China as a Joint action and its general objective is promoting the modernization and harmonization of Intellectual Property Management practices in the higher education system, with a view to enhance university-industry collaborations and contribute to economic and social development.

    The specific objective of the CIPnet project is to establish a National Higher Education Intellectual Property Management Network as a learning platform to foster themodernization, harmonization and strategic planning of IP management practices and regional integration in Higher Education of China.


    Report on the level of TT & IP awareness and training needs

    The project has been grouped into six work packages. The main objective of activity 1.1 - Analysis of the level of IP awareness and use of IP tools within HEIs within WP 1 – Benchmarking & Needs Analysis Activities was to carry out a survey on IP & TT within Chinese HEIs, with a special focus on Technology Transfer Offices and researchers, in order to assess the starting point of the network activities, define areas for improvement/training and detect existing good practices.

    Good practices Guide for TT&IP management in HEIs

    The Good practices Guide constitutes the collection of European and Chinese practices in the field of IP management practices collected in two rounds during the implementation of the project 2019-2021. Both language versions Chinese and English are available to download.


    Blueprint for Innovation & IP Strategies for China

    Blueprint for Innovation & IP Strategies for China is the collection of the research papers exploringtechnology transfer and IP management process at heigh education institutions with a particular emphasis on China and international cooperation. On the one hand itpresents very up to date problems related to changing environment often called as 4th industrial revolution, on the other hand – it focuses on specific issues heavinggreat importance for universities managing their IP protected research results.

    Blueprint for Innovation & IP Strategies is addressed to managers, TTO officers, researchers involved in commercialization and management of IP at universities and not only. Many of the analyzed issues are universal in naturemaking this publication interesting for everyone.

    This publication is divided into two parts. First, it provides the selection of articles in Chinese while the second part contains English-language papers. Contributions to both parts were prepared by European and Chinese experts from CIPnet consortium of EU and Chinese universities and invited guests. Majority of them were presented during the final conference “Knowledge Sharing & IP Management Strategies for China” which took place on June 24-25, 2021 organized by East China University of Political Science and Law.
